 DaveI have both the 117 power Supply and the radio its self. I had do extensive repair on the my radio. One thing that is problem is filament voltage. I’ve seen the tubes filaments get destroyed because the voltage inrush to the Set from PS. The regular is not very good. I added a solid state regulator. I know you want to keep it original, but in this case, it’s hard to find the tubes, so if you if the tubes are gone, you’re gonna have to search around and try to find new tubes but this will be one thing you can prevent from happening again. What are youing using for the battery in the set? Also the varable tunning caps will short out causing problems. I would start with tubes pull them out and check the filaments.Let us know what you find.MikeW1ZFB

I was at Ike's this past weekend as well.? I brought my two working SCR-610 (BC-659) sets.? Both worked fine during the event, but the one that was not jeep mounted is not working since I got home.? PE-117C Power supply is working properly, and outputting 6V and 2 Watts. Fuse is fine.??There is no vibrator hum nor tactile feedback when keying the mic.? No sound through either headphones or speaker.? Needle jumps on FIL and CHECK, but no movement on PLATE or OPER.?
