Been some chatter about doing a Southern version of the MRCA Moose & Squirrel Cold-War Clandestine Long Range Reconnaissance and Patrol Net. Thinking that Saturday April 26 may be a good opportunity to do it.
On that day I will have the M151A1 (Mutt) out at the annual Delaware Goes to War event at Fort Miles, Cape Henlopen State Park Delaware.
I Intend to do things like the MMRCG RTTY Net and 7296 USB Nets that morning along with trying to check into the Moose & Squirrel Net at noon and thought that maybe this would be a good opportunity to try a Southern version of that net.
The last several years for some unknown reason have not had much success copying NCS (WB2JWU) along with most of the other stations. Always have solid copy on relatively local stations like K3TZJ in PA and N2MS in NJ but that's about all the love the band gives here.
So, I wanted to start beating the drum about getting people below the Mason Dixon line to come out and play that Saturday.
The Southern version of the M&S Net will take place at 1300 EDT, April 26, 2025 on Sixty meters 5357.00 USB (channel 3) or at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled (Yankee) version of the Net.
We got four weeks; the weather will be warm so no excuses!
