Ray,
Good luck with the WS-19.
That was my first surplus set. My uncle bought the package from a department store after the war and stored it in the attic of our house. My grandmother owned the house at that time.
In the 1960's my cousin and I were teens so my uncle took it down and gave it to his son. It was a complete package with the transceiver, dynamotor, variometer, antenna, mic/headphone sets, junction boxes and cabling.
My cousin was more interested in audio that radio so I traded a tape recorder to him for the WS-19.
By that time we moved into our own home on Long Island and set it up in a barn on the property. I had a heck of a time building a power supply robust enough to run the dynamotor. I remember the rectifier diodes exploding as the dynamotor started running. I eventually got it running by hooking it up to the battery in my father's car.
Anyway the tuning was tricky and I eventually traded it for command sets which were lighter and had finer tuning.
Good luck with the set. I remember there was a capacitor in the dynamotor so don't forget to check that cap if you intend to power the set with the dynamotor.

The existing circuit uses a grid modulation system but wondering if anyone ever used the 6V6 in the intercom amplifier to modulate the 807 as a plate modulated transmitter? figure maybe I can find an old tube CB that I can take the modulation transformer out of.
