[MRCA] What is this?

Would be interesting to see what the operating frequencies it was set up for since it contains a full 4 channel set of crystals in both the transmitter and receiver. Multiply the fundamental frequency of the transmitter ( section with the 4 tuning knobs) crystals by 18.

Had one of these sets as a novice, built a power supply for the transmitter and ran it on 2 meter AM with a homebrew 5 element beam with a 2x4 boom that sat on the collar ties of my unfinished attic shack. Presently have a very near mint one and the associated dynamotor power supplies on the shelf, probably should send them on to a warbird project if anyone is in need of them. Or, if anyone has a jeep to give me, I could pair them up with a BC-191 and make a VRC-1.

I am worried that, if this is in fact a military IFF transponder, that the small self-destruct charges could still be present. Probably not, but getting surprised would really suck
