All,
I apologize for not getting back to everyone as fast as I want to. Here is
the status of what's going on.
I will be bringing a bunch of the items to the Red Ball Rally/Gilbert show
next month. I have a booth there. First come, first serve, cash only. I
am NOT a radio guy, I cannot attest to the working condition of the items in
the shack. I will have a 110V and 24V power source there for powering
items up. Please bring your own watt meters, dummy loads/antennas and
whatever else you may need to test items. The MRCA guys there will be more
than willing to assist with testing items from my past experiences with
them.
I do NOT have a list of Radio ABC works fine, Radio EFG has low output, this
teletype works great, that one is a parts donor, etc. from Ken. If I did,
that would make life a whole lot easier for everyone.
If you would like to see the items from the shack before Gilbert, that can
be arranged at my shop in Marlboro NY. Once again, bring your own testing
"stuff" I can power it up, but that's about it.
Pricing: I'm not asking top dollar, but I am in no huge rush to sell it
either. A reasonable cost is what I will be asking, and I do have a
prominent radio buyer/seller on speed dial for pricing ranges. It kind of
pisses me off I even have to mention this, but here goes. I am sure this
does not apply to the people on here, but I will say it anyway. Please do
not offer me give me a "final offer of $500" for the GRC 213 set up as was
done by a "radio buyer" as week or so ago, and act like you are doing me a
favor. (True story, and NO I didn't not entertain the $500 offer, and yes
it is still for sale.) I'm not the smartest with the radios Ken was
into, but I'm not dumb either. I'm a reasonable guy and I'm not in a
position of "It's all got to go by next week" fire sale pricing. Im not
looking for millions, but Im not going to accept pennies either.
Shipping items: Not happening. Come to Gilbert MV show, come to
Marlboro NY, maybe I will head up to NEARFEST in Ocotober, but I'm not
shipping anything. You need to pick up, sorry. Is it a PITA, yes, but I'm
not dealing with shipping disasters. I will be by Montpelier VT the weekend
of September 28/29 if that helps.
Bear in mind I am also going thru all the normal household stuff too, and
figuring out disposition of that stuff too in my spare time, which is
limited.
Questions?
Thank you!

All,
This is Ken's "not a Ham" friend, Mark Ciaglia As most of you might know
by now, Ken Krausgill, KD2GFM, lost his battle with cancer June 27, 2024.
Ken and I would often go to the Sussex NJ MTA shows, Weare NH Military
vehicle shows, Gilbert PA MV and MRCA shows, Aberdeen/Hagerstown MV shows,
and Dayton Hamvention. I am the guy that made the MRCA hats about a year
or so ago, and we went on a few road trips together in search of Military
vehicle and radio items. I am terrible with names and faces, so bear with
me.
I am trying to find his "radio friends". Especially the gentleman in
North Carolina who has the basement full of US Navy Radios/ teletypes we
visited in February 2023, a radio guy man named Dean or Dale, and the group
of guys we were with at Dayton in 2023, and the Gilbert MV show "Radio guys"
I will be at the Weare show coming up, and I hope to see some of you there,
where in years past I have seen some of you guys.
Please email me at Mark at supplycaptain.com if you wish for more details
about Ken and his collection. This is not a scam or anything, I have
attached a picture of him from our trip to Florida. To verify who I am, if
the US Navy teletype guy contacts me, I can tell you what happened when we
visited. For the Hamvention radio "crew" I can tell you where we met up,
and what we bought that evening the day of setup in 2023. Bernie from
Delaware, (DelMilTrucks) can also vouch for me. Those from the Gilbert
show have bought a bunch of stuff from me also.
Thank you for your time.
