Had a shakedown run with the BC-659-J Jeep radio at a car show, who had a BC-659-J mounted in his 1942 Ford GPW Jeep. All went well. Both radios worked perfectly. Radio frequencies were: channel A - 29.6 MHz, channel B - 29.1 MHz. So I will be bring and work this set at Gilbert in September. I have three of these sets, so if there is interest, this set will be made available for purchase at Gilbert: price is $2500. Includes a complete mount for a WW2 jeep, T-9 handset, AN- 29 antenna, MP-50 vehicle antenna mount. AB-15 antenna base with 3 sections of vehicle antenna. The battery that was internal to this BC-659 has been replaced with the internal power adapter made in Italy, so there is no need to constantly replace the internal battery. The Power Supply PE-120-B is set up and works using a standard automobile 12 volt battery. Basically, this is a complete, ready to install in a Jeep, wide band, smallish, authentic US Army WW2 fm vehicle set : complete one stop shopping for a vehicle owner looking for an authentic, working radio for his or her WW2 Jeep. Sold as a complete set.
