Attempted to copy SAQ from a quiet desert location north of Tucson.
1000' of wire-on-ground and about 500' of counterpoise. Rycom 6040 with a
215 kHz lowpass due to BCB intermod. No copy on SAQ. Could copy many Navy
transmitters and the Russian Alpha stations. Next time I'll try a bigger
antenna, more gain, receive audio limiters and active audio filtering.
WH2XVN CW beacon from DM04 on 183.50 kHz was easy copy.
Was SAQ exactly on 17.20 kHz?
