[MRCA] W3A QSO

Sorry about that, we had a RF-350 up and running on 40 meters most of the day Saturday and except for two contacts I was not on that radio. If I was would have definitely taken time to talk. We worked a number of NPOA/POA stations on 40 and it can get to the point of just doing a basic exchange. Wanted to do some operation myself up on seventeen meters and did do several contacts including F4DVO in France but then had something come up and was not able to get back until later that night.
We are not there for points, its more about operating the "Cold War" period radios out in the field at a historic site. Did at least hear you on the Moose & Squirrel Net that morning. Think maybe for next time will try to set aside pre-determined times and frequencies for long form QSO, or maybe keep a station on sixty for the entire event for just such things.
Anyone who might have ideas on how to improve the event please let me know.

Several of us had a nice chat with W3A on the RATT net this morning. Ray KA3EKH was on the keyboard in his M151 Mutt.

In case anyone is interested, the W3A able archer team is operating on 7,180 LSB (website says USB, but they are on LSB). It seems they are operating like a contest so there is only an exchange of signal reports and its over. Maybe all special event stations operate in this way? I'm not a contester.
