Hi Ray. I have a few reference sources. One is a datum Exacttime 9390 GPSDO 10 MHz reference. I have another (Nortel?) GPSDO as well as a Symmetricom cesium beam primary standard. I use an HP 5087A distribution amp as necessary. The Cesium clock has both 10 MHz and 5 MHz outputs. I don't recall the details, but I think the R-1310/590/2368 series allow for either 5 MHz reference or possibly also 1 MHz reference if div-by-10 is useful to you.
Ok, so I just checked a manual for the 1310A it says "Frequency Standard I/O: Input 1 MHz, 5 MHz or 10 MHz at 0.5V RMS into 50 ohm load. Output same frequency as input (daisy chain feature)
So 10 MHz should work, but check the manual for your particular unit.

Anyone have any experience with using a GPS disciplined oscillator as an external reference for their radios? Think my 1310 exciter and 2368 receiver both can use a 5 MHz external reference and was thinking that I was going to buy one of the Chinees GPS disciplined oscillators over on eBay primarily for using as an external 10 MHz reference for my service monitor and a couple other items on the bench but was also thinking of throwing together a distribution amplifier and maybe a divide by two output for the Harris stuff, don't remember but think maybe I can use an external reference with the RF-350 also? Would be curious to see if others have any experience with the China boxes and reliability and what happens in a high RF environment?
