The National Cryptologic Museum is located right next to Fort Meade on the grounds of the NSA Headquarters. Open to the public five days a week and free admission.
On display is just about every KY encryption system ever fielded, some of there older computer milestones including the Cray 1, cyphers and codding that includes items from as far back as the Civil War and a collection of others equipment including a full set of all the German enigma machines and Japanese cypher systems of the second world war.
They had just completed a renovation and I have not been there in a several years but they also had items like the old high speed HFDF shipboard equipment that was used for chasseing U Boats and a replica of the first wireless intercept station used in WW1
If you have the time and talk to the people there you will also find that they have an extensive library that they will allow to public to access, no its not a lending library!
