I know by the time I found out about it on Friday afternoon I went looking
for it but it was gone so must have been sold. Good thing though because a
couple years back I tried to get into that technology and there were lots of
issues including multipole parts that somehow were unattainable. Think I
will stick with the Harris stuff.
Think much like the Falcon radios it appears to be one of those menu driven
only radios and I still prefer to have knobs. Speaking of that apparently
three people complained to the Hamvention committee about the problem of
knob theft, don't know what they wanted the Hamvention committee to do?
Maybe search ever person leaving the gates?

I saw that GRC-215 system and the seller would have sold it for $200 as he
didn't want to bring it back. I would have taken it except did not have the
capability of moving it. It did have some problems. the control head had
burned traces on the motherboard which were caused by a "nearby lightning
strike." Now that makes me really wonder if the system had other more
serious issues because getting internal serious damage from lightning is
seldom limited to one particular assembly.
The rack was a really nice one on heavy duty casters, definitely worth $200
by itself. In it were the PA, amp power supply, pre/post filter,
receiver/exciter and a telephone modem. Some but not all cables were there
so it would be a bit of work before you could get the whole thing to the
point where you could test for any other failures.
