Departed the home QTH in the M886 at 0600 arrived weare NH 1330 no travel
issues other than high gas prices. Commo gear I saw for sale, BC1306 no
grill sold $120,WWII tank receiver with dynamotor unsold,RT-524's poor
condition $500 unaware of any sale, complete LMTV VHF antenna set sold
$50. I did not see any other radio's for sale, some speakers, mikes,
brackets etc were there but nothing special, if you traveled there for
commo it would have been a bust. Thursday late there was a heavy rain/wind
event, a few people lost their shelter, they collapsed from the weight of
the rain, yes it was that heavy, plenty of shelter parts in the dumpster
the next day. Friday and Saturday were busy, about 50 military vehicles on
display. Operated on the M&S net from the M886, Harris RF230 into NVIS
configured AT1011, great signals all around. Round trip 640 miles, 67
gallons of fuel for about 9.5 mpg and about $300 spent on gas. Jeff, Dean,
Dale,Ken and Pete were there from the MRCA, a good show and hope to see
more of you at the fall Nearfest show.
