Hi Charles - Those are nice Jenny's.   I have a PU-181 which is essentially
identical, same engine, frame etc.  however it has an alternator for 120
VAC 60 cps 300 watts for PCG-1 field teletype sets.  I use it for
everything.  Same experience - always starts with one pull even with
ancient old fuel in it.  Still has the original Korean war shielded spark
plug in it, & no ignition noise!  I use a long piece of 550 cord for the
starter rope - really gets it going for awhile and it cant fail to start!
I did have to replace the selenium diode bridge that runs the governor with
silicon.  A no-brainer...
