Sounds right to me, but I also think that Flying Parts Syndrome is also 
nature's way of forcing me to sweep the floor in my shop!

For SMT builders, there is a corollary called TLP - "Tweezer Launched 
Parts".   Those little buggers don't go into any alternate universe, 
they just flat disappear!
