[MRCA] H-250 Modification/Repair

I’ve carried a P-38 on one of my two key rings for the past 55 years.  Comes in handy every now and again.  Reminds me of the period on the Happy Valley when Mid Rats got so bad that sailors were routinely pilfering the Grunts’ C-Rats that were usually stacked in a corner of the Hanger Bay ready for the morning re-supply flight.  Spring of ’68 as I recall.

Hi Jeep!

12 P-38's per case?  I forget.. (Fun Fact:  It takes 38 cuts with a P-38 to open a C Rat can...)

Favorite edible?  Fruit Cocktail!

Ham and "Mo-Fo's"....even worse than "Fat Balls and Rubber Bands"

We were munching on C's up to around 1987 when the first MRE's showed up (at least for us...),  Don't know how old they were at the time.

Yes,  There wasn't much wrong with C-rations when you consider the circumstances.  I have a p-38 around here somewhere.- Al
