Hi Al
I did not see your photo in the book of you maintaining point to point comms. Also their was only one short sentence mentioning my "High Priority" airborne repeater missions that I flew in the C-7A. Interesting missions as we had to orbit until bingo fuel and stay out of the way of the "Incoming". I guess they forgot about us.

There's also a really good video on youtube about all the commo systems used in Vietnam.

Folks,
Gene recommended this book;
I discovered it's available free on archive.org <https://archive.org/details/MilitaryCommunicationsATestForTechnology>
Looks good. Maps and everything. Not much coverage of tactical radios, but the system stuff is interesting as I was involved in that.
Enjoy,
Al

FYI. I mentioned a book I recently acquired that describes many, if not most, of the radios developed for the US Army from after WWII through Vietnam up through 1969. It's title is "Military Communications - A Test For Technology - The US Army In Vietnam." https://tinyurl.com/2528n87w . It was written by John D. Bergen in 1985. The book includes a chronology of the political and military developments that led to the US involvement in southeast Asia as well as descriptions of the various wide area, broadband analog microwave and tropo systems that USA deployed to help the Vietnamese Army and political leadership. Some of our favorite squad radios are included in the discussion, such as the PRC-6, -8/9/10, -25 and the beloved PRR9/PRT4 pair.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with your Microsoft product.
