Nor have I ever seen any indication of NAV/MARCORPS use of the T-30 throat microphone.

Also, one of the posts in this thread seemed to imply that one of the improvements that the Signal Corps made to the T-30 in an attempt to make it more usable was two microphone buttons instead of only one.  But although I don't seem to have ever had one of the early letter models, according to SIG 5 all T-30's had a 2-button mike and looked approximately the same.

FWIW I have never read any WWII USN or USMC pilot's reference to using a throat mic.  The USN did not issue such things.
