[MRCA] CW Sounds on 40 and 80

 Nice breadboard. Is that entered in the "single Audion" category?Do they have categories?

My uncle told me that he built a radio back then using food cans sliding in and out as tuning capacitors!Have you ever seen one built like that?

   This weekend if you tune across 80 and 40 meters you may hear some unusual CW notes that are  "whooping, chirping, buzzing, clicking, drifting, swishing, swaying, and warbling" etc. The annual Bruce Kelly 1929 transmitter contest is being held by the Antique Wireless Association.
 I will be on using my 1929 Hartley Oscillator. Photo below.  I will be extra careful when throwing the antenna switch  on the left from transmit to receive  - - -  and I hope that the winds will be calm as swaying of the antenna changes the frequency.
