I actually was going to say that it was to run a PA with a pair of 811s with a single tube. However, I thought N2MS’s comment was funny, so I continued on it, HI. 73 – Mike

Subject: [MRCA] Mystery Project

 

ART-13 Aficionado Mike KC4TOS correctly identified the use of the Mystery Project bulb assembly and that is to utilize the bulb to  activate and test the filament chain of the 811/813 in the transmitter.  I ran out of 811 tubes so we substituted in the series filament circuit a standard 6 volt 4 amp bulb. This way we could light up the 813 and continue our testing of the RF portion of the transmitter.
