[MRCA] Frequencies for Gilbert meet.

Will have the mutt at Beltsville lake as part of the now annual pack set exercise. Will have previsions for 3.885 AM, 5.357 USB , 51.0 FM (wide band, military style) and 144.25 AM
I will assume we will do the 5357 USB Net around 1400 local and the 3885 net some time after that. 51.0 is used all day as a coordination frequency and in the past we have used HF channels to set up QSO on 144.25 if the far site was equipped.
Usually looking around the show at Gilbert in the morning and not getting the show on the road with the mutt until afternoon. Last year got the mutt to Beltsville lake and did a NPOA event on twenty meters prior to the start of the sixty meter net.
Plenty of time to set up or plan new activities!
Figure I will also be operating RTTY at nine and MMRCG Net at ten Saturday morning, that will more than likely be at the pavilion from the mutt being parked right outside. RTTY will be on 7.087 USB and MMRCG is 7.296 USB
In the last three years or so we average at least five to seven people running pack sets and larger on 5357 including sets as large as PRC-47, always an impressive site in the field and about half that number on 3885
I have a web page about the 2018 operation that can be seen at:

http://staff.salisbury.edu/~rafantini/MRCA18.htm

at the bottom of the page are the stations that were active and the frequencies that were used.

 Hi Paul,

I don't know if there is any planned activity, but Several MRCA folks have URC-4 pilot's survivals sets crystaled for
144.25 MHz. And, 5357 USB is generally a good bet for NVIS in the middle of the day.

Just working from memory,
Al

Hello All,
Glad we are able to get together this year. I have a number of radios to work on for demonstration and use. I was wondering what frequencies other than 3885 and 51 MHz are we going to be using for local and field communications on Friday? Anyone planning on 2 meter activity?

Thanks, Paul WA3GFZ
