[MRCA] BC-1000/ chassis case query.

Hi gang,

           I have a French made BC-1000 and a US made chassis case. The
chassis case has the battery

cable attached on the bottom. 

 

I am having problems fitting the radio into the case. The plug on the rear
of the radio cannot be made

to engage the case socket. The base of the case has 4 sets of 2 holes each,
suggesting that 4 items have

been removed. They appear to have supported some things on the lower
(battery) side.

 

Is the case missing an essential item needed to guide the radio battery plug
into the socket? Is there some

small difference between the French and US made units?

 

Advice from BC-1000 owners in our group would be very much appreciated.
