Hi Nick,
Glad to hear you met up with Brown, I heard him this morning on the old military radio net but I tuned in too late to join in the fun.
I did try to break in on the RATT Net this morning but have discovered an issue with my UGC-74 which has stopped me for the time being. My Space and ‘E’ keys are not functioning at present.
I am in touch with Ron, K3TZJ, who as always has been kind enough to give me some good guidance on what the probable issue is.
I will get there eventually.
Ken

Sorry to miss the fun - I was at a local swap meet - Brown W1NZR was also in attendance. I've delivered a couple of Model 28s to him, now just need to get him on RATT from his new NC QTH.
Cheers,

Played around with RTTY this morning on the Saturday 7087 RAT net, good conditions early working K9WT and K3TZJ and thought I saw KD2GFM in there for a second but never returned?
The object today was to just use the UGC-129, Dovetron and the RF-350 and wired the ON/Standby switch on the Divetron to the PTT line on the RF-350K but what a surprise! Discovered that the Dovetron will not print in the standby mode so had to quickly disable the PTT control line from the Dove and ended up using the UGC-129 for receive copy and cheated and used the computer to send.
The Harris RF-350 has VOX with both Data and voice modes that works on microphone and patch mode, but anyone have an idea why the VOX does not work when using the AUDIO 2 source? It would be easy to just use the AFSK control on the Dove to control the Harris but no love from the VOX in that mode. The computer uses the PATCH mode with that port but I long ago built a control line from the computer that works the PTT circuit in the PATCH mode.
Or do I have to build up a switch to put next to the TTY system for send and receive?
Imagine that if you have the ASFK card for the RF-350 this makes that all unnecessary but don’t ever think I saw just that card around.
expect to be trying again next Saturday 7087 850 shift
