6087 is a direct sub for 5y3GB which has a cathode.
A plain 5y3 or 5y3gt does not have a cathode.
If your radio happens to take the output from pin 8 cathode), then they could be interchangeable, otherwise no..
Nothing is simple...even when it seems like it is!
