[MRCA] Peaks on the air

Thanks, Mike. Normally I leave the radio installed in the vehicle (with pad locks) but the truck was in the shop recently for some AC work and I took it out. I will NOT make that mistake again! But the GoKit is the right way to do it. Thanks
Eugene

Eugene,

I find it helpful to have a "Go Kit" prepared ahead of time. The radio, accessories, antenna, counterpoise, meter, connectors, logbook and battery (if necessary) are in the kit and ready to go on short notice.

Be sure to test the setup at home so that nothing is forgotten. There aren't Radio Shacks around to pick up missing parts.

I have two kits, a 100 watt (usually run at 50 watts) and a 10 watt kit.

Greetings from high atop Mount Philo, VT. Packed everything one could need for a fun expedition in the land rover... except a radio :(. That one smarts. There's always next time!
