This is worth spending part of a stimulus check on.
 
  
 
I bought one  a year ago this thing is  fantastic!..  It’s not a repackaged HF SDR dongle.
 
  
 
But a real receiver that will actually work on a 3 ft whip 
 
It has RF gain control, multi-mode , built in rechargeable  battery and variable filters. It has areal RF front end
