[MRCA] VRC-64 VHF radio.

Hi to the gang.

                      I have a question. I am assembling a VRC-64 radio and
have encountered a problem.

The assembled components consist of: RT-841A radio (25Khz channel spacing).

 
AM-1777 audio amplifier and MT vehicle mount.

                                                                     CX-4722
cable

                                                                     AS-1729
antenna.

When the unit is powered up, the radio and amplifier work fine. However, the
antenna band selection

will  not work. Even manual selection of the bands produces no result. I
have tried several CX-4722 

cables for no result. The antenna base MX-6707 checks OK.

 

There is a mix of country builds with the RT-841A  and the AM-1777 being
built by Telemit in Europe.

The AS-1729 and the CX-4655 came from the US.

 

Is it possible that there is a pin-out difference between the European and
US components? It does not

seem logical that the Europeans would create a difference, but one never
knows!
