Re Tobyhanna overhaul sticker date codes:
My T-195 has a sticker saying 2-22-4. I have often wondered if the 4 refers
to 1964 or 1974.
The mystery remains unsolved. Nick. VK4YT.

Does anyone know how to decode the four digit date code found on the
OVERHAUL sticker on equipment that passes through the Tobyhanna Army Depot
in PA. I have a piece of equipment that has a sticker with 3023 on it.
Thanks,
73,
Michael, W1RC

It's probably the year and Julian date, i.e. 3 is 73, 83, 93, etc., and 023
is January 23rd. USAF would use 73023, usually the decade can be determined
from the vintage of the equipment, unless you are talking AF stuff, which
can and often is decades old.
