[MRCA] FS: SCR-506

Ever since I was given a batch of QSTs back in probably 1958, I remember the cover of a 1945 issue that had the SCR-506 and a very detailed article (unusual for those war years) where the author was flat-hatting around the southwest in a command car, testing this rig.  I was intrigued, to say the least.  Maybe a year or two later, CAP got a number of these complete radio sets with the 24v dynamotor.  Back then, high current 24v was a real issue.  I had one and got the receiver going but never the transmitter.  I do not recall whatever happened to them but I had the MS mast sections up until maybe the late 70's?  Oh.. wait... there is still an 814 around here, someplace! Oh well.... no guts, no glory...
