[MRCA] When Will Hamfests Resume???

Maybe you guys don’t get how serious this still is.......

It is not what I want or what you want.....it is what the people want.

You can't have a hamfest/flea market without stuff. And who brings stuff? People. Who buys the stuff? More people. So logically we have to say that you can’t have a hamfest without people; the more the merrier.

Organizers can plan hamfests all they want provided they have the money to pay for them. Where does this money come from? People. So it stands to reason that if you want to do a hamfest you should have a reasonable expectation that enough people will come so the bills, which can be considerable, can be paid.

So it should be easy to understand that hamfests cannot resume until there is the confidence on the part of the organizer that enough people will come to ensure that the costs can be covered. That can only occur when there is confidence on the part of the people that they will be safe and not become infected if they attend.

A smart organizer will try to predict when that will happen and not attempt to resume before the people are ready to return.

The above is my personal opinion. However I do not see how anything you have written is relevant to the circumstances that I have outlined.

Festers will resume when the people have the confidence to attend again. The trick will be to know when this will take place.
