[MRCA] WWI Signal Corps Film

I haven’t watched it yet BUT where did communications belong with the US Army Air Service in WW1?
I have a USAAS CW practice key with a contract date in 1918. It’s missing a couple parts... I’m guessing these are not very common.. Signal Corps or?
