Just for the benefit of someone looking for the manual and trying to search
on the various numbers that have been given over the course of this thread,
the numbers of all of the manuals that were produced for the set by the
Signal Corps begins with"

TM 11-5820-473-nn.  Where "nn" has over the course of the active life of the
set been at various times:

12, 15, 20P, 24 and 35.  

Each of which means something different.  There are several other
combinations of the five digits that would have been valid but I haven't
actually ever seen.  

One should also be aware that there is perhaps more difference between the
base model AN/TRC-77 and the AN/TR77A than is usually the case, to the
extent that if you have an A-model, you may be worse off with the base
manual than with no manual at all.
