[MRCA] SAQ Broadcast

Just discovered that the Harris R-2368 that’s the military knock off of the RF-590 goes down to 10 KHz. Using the 80 meter dipole was able to copy OX 407 KHz at Ocean City MD and NHK 400 KHz over at Pax River but not much else.

May have to give it a try!

I remember when my son in law decommissioned the NDB at Langley, had been there from the beginning of time but the Air Force sees no advantage in supporting them now. Surprised to see that Patuxent River is still operating there’s but after that’s a Navy base and you know how the navy is.

Two transmissions are scheduled as follows:

  1.  Startup and tuning at 10:30 (08:30 UTC) with a transmission of a message at 11:00 (09:00 UTC).
  2.  Startup and tuning at 13:30 (11:30 UTC) with a transmission of a message at 14:00 (12:00 UTC)
