Eugene,
MS3116J-14-19P is a MIL-DTL-26483 series 1 Straight Plug, #14 bayonet shell,
19 solder contacts, #20 AWG
Service class "J" is a compressing clamp and neoprene gland for moisture
proofing multi-conductor jacketed cables and strain relief. Telescoping
sleeves (MS 3420A)
can be used to adapt to cables smaller than minimum close-down.
MS3476L-14-19P is MIL-DTL-26483 series 2 Straight Plug, #14 bayonet shell,
19 crimp contacts, #20 AWG
No idea what service class "L" is, it's not in my catalog
I would consider the Amphenol JT06 commercial series (same as MIL-DTL-26483
series 1 but non w/ hexavalent plating, save some bucks, save some
turtles...) If you have to buy new they're cheaper to buy. Like this one.

Subject: [MRCA] need help with connector compatibility
Hi friends.
I am having a devil of a time decoding the complexities of the amphenol
circular connector world. I have a device that has a connector with the
following designation:
MS 3116 J 14-19P (spaces added for readability).
I have located a potentially mating connector that has the correct 14-19S
connector arrangement but I can't figure out if the shells are compatible.
The connector I am considering is designated as:
MS 3476 L 14-19S.
I am having a dickens of a time determining of 3476L is compatible with
3116J
And before I am recommended to contact Bill P., this is actually a full
cable I am looking at not just a connector (and yes, I am sure Bill could
answer the question but he can be hard to get ahold of).
Any assistance appreciated!
Thanks
73 Eugene W2HX
