If you read any of my past descriptions of events or Ham fest you may know my common statement of "if you missed it you missed out" well with yesterday Frostfest 2020 think this is first time I would have to say that although I did enjoy the event and seeing everyone in terms of military radio the event turned out to be somewhat of a dud.
I saw one R-390 for $600, a BC-342 or 312 with a gray paint job and not much else. Couple sets of tent poles maybe a stray AB-15 but not much else. Don't know if a old Racal sixty two hundred series qualifies for military but imagine it may.
A friend who came with me bought two dynamotor power units for the Crosley SCR-284 radios that were hiding under a table but beyond that did not see any ARC-5 stuff, ART-13 transmitters or BC-348 receivers although was told there was one 348 receiver but did not see it myself. Their were many people selling lots of vintage Ham equipment, Hallicrafters stuff was there in abundance along with lots of other bargains like the HW-101 with cable, power supply and manual that my friend purchased for $30
So for once if you chose to stay home and clean up the shop or maybe participate in the AM contest looks like you did the right call. I spent a total of $4 buying a couple coaxial adapters.
