Thoughts on Paper Tape

A box of ten rolls is selling on EBay for $65.00, list it for $50 and see if there are any takers.
when I am not playing with old and obsolete radios or generators I have a equally large collection of primitive computers. Paper tape is oddly one format where if maintained properly the media will last forever, many of the DEC and as of lately Nova/Data General system I been playing with use paper tape for a programing and diagnostics. Its not uncommon to see someone pay huge money for a box of new paper tape.
I have been lucky being gifted a couple boxes of DEC paper tape.
I can see where anyone who wanted the full teleprinter experience would want paper tape to do things like prepare strips with calling announcements and the like.
I don't see myself doing the big mechanical systems just yet but already thinking of building up a system around an old military first generation satellite communications terminal, a dedicated demodulator and maybe a ROLM Nova (1602) to do the transition between five bit 45 baud and eight bit ASCII and can think of no better way of backing up the programing then on paper tape.

Can one still get fanfold paper to use with a real TTY?
I have several original rolls of paper, but like all I've ever seen,
it is acidic and will crumble to dust if one tries to use it.
Good only for the fireplace. Should try to save the cores I guess.
Anyone want to take them on for the cost of shipping?

Does anyone actually still use a paper tape punch and reader?
I've got tape rolls that need a home, other than the "give it to me so
I can put it in my garage and pretend I'll use it one day" guys?
Of course, the grand kids will throw it in the dump before he ever
actually does anything at all. I can do that here.
There's 20 "gonna get around to it" guys for every one
who actually ever does anything.
