[MRCA] CH-54

The CH-54 (S-64) is still being manufactured in small numbers by Erickson Air Crane, who purchased the type certificate from Sikorsky. They are used for heavy lift, as well as fire fighting. The CH-54 is basically a CH-53 Jolly Green with the fuselage heavily modified for lifting oversize containers and vehicles. To me, the most awesome helicopter on the earth is the CH-53K King Stallion, used by the USMC. 7 blade rotor and THREE 7500 SHP turboshaft engines, with a maximum take off weight of over 85,000 lbs!

The Skyhook was a scary machine in Vietnam and there are only a few still flying today. The wake turbulence created by the down wash was terrible and resulted in a lot of accidents. It scared me just looking at one.
