We finally got to the estate sale which was in a very large warehouse. By the time we arrived both the PRC-74s were gone BUT they left one pristine battery box/stand! Go figure.
Much of the MilCom gear had been picked over by several commercial entities who scrounged MilCom gear for movies. Most of the Hallicrafters ham/general coverage receives were still there. All too big for my shack.
However, I did manage to pick up a PRC-47 w/power cable for $60. Condition was near mint. No other accessories but that is what the challenge is, isn't it?
Picked up a tri-pac of Command sets complete with dynamotors and with the three receiver rack and remote controls for $60. An additional BC-453 was available fo r$25 and it looked unmodified except for the lack of a dynamotor on the rear end.
For N3FRQ: brought back two NIB magnesium batteries for the PRC-25/77 rigs. Yours if you want them.
They had two BC-348s in less than good condx. HOWEVER, I managed to pick up a really nice BC-312 w/built in AC PSU for $50.
Then there was a Hallicrafters WWII "morale radio" for $50. Complete, dirty but looks very restorable.
All in all I think I did pretty good considering that I got basically everything I was coveting except the PRC-74.
