[MRCA] PRC-47 bits

Hi again friends. For my Collins 718U-1 there are some PRC-47 bits and baubles that are used with it. I'd like to get a UG-1816/PRC-47. It converts the threaded whip to a coax connector. Fair has them for $25 which is a good deal, but in case someone on the list has one burning a hole in their pocket.

My next question. The rear of this radio looks like this:

Googling around I found this battery adapter MX-4430:

Can someone tell me, could this adapter be used to mount on the rear of this radio? Or is it meant for some battery box to somehow "remote" the battery? I'd like to acquire whatever can mount on the rear of this radio so I can convert those two posts to a better connector and have that be protected in either a battery box of some kind or if I can somehow use this adapter?
