I suppose the spare is gone too? It should have the type imprinted on the contact shell.
Another thought: If you have another piece of equipment that uses a similar fuse holder, check what is in there...
My PP-8474 has a large screw-in type that looks similar . The cartridge is better than 1/4 inch round ( larger than the AGC type)It says FLM30 on the body, so I suppose you are looking for a FLM5 (time delay fuse) .

Looking for the correct fuse for the AM-598, it was missing and some one had a ball point pen spring in there, quite crispy looking. The manual just says "fuse, cartridge 5A.
The internal switch was also on the "A" model setting, hopefully a combination of the two are the reason it's not working.
