I had good copy of W9RAN but not many others this morning. Another AM QSO was going on down on 7.290 but the filters on the big Harris never fail to amaze to the extent that I did not have any issue with that , just low signal level. Did hear Joe in there a couple times but was unable to make out anything he said. I tried the M&S Net at noon but week copy of net control so I did not give them a call. Lot of the others were strong but at least down here in southern Maryland no joy from net control.
Hope band conditions improve for next big field operation from up in York PA for the MVPA Nationals next month. Intend to do both Mid Western Net along with M&S Net but don’t know if I will make the 0500 3885 AM net being that’s way early in the morning. Trying to have the Navy MAK up and running for MVPA Show but the dilemma is that it’s a twelve volt radio and everything on the mutt is twenty four volts. May go to junk yard and buy old car battery just to run that set on 3885 at the tent.
