I would propose that you find someone who you can trust and send them the radio for a investigation of its condition. I am not an expert in such radios and have no interest in  it  myself but have to say that in a number of years of buying, owning and selling surplus radios that such a radio represents something that not too many of us have come accost before.

Hi thanks again for the help I've received, at the request of many of the
guys, I am going to try to post some pictures of the prc-1 and hope to give
it a good home.  As you all know, I am a novice at best in my knowledge of
this radio, so I have absolutely no idea of its value or its condition.
