[MRCA] PRC-74B Power Consumption?

Hi Al - The PRC-74B "-35" Depot manual does not seem to state the current
(power) requirement outright. However the external 12 VDC power supply
PP-4514/PRC-74 shows an 8 amp fuse in the negative lead to power the set.
FWIW. Figure 6-15 refers.
Two 12 V 8 AH SLA batteries (in parallel) will fit in the battery box.
There is no fuse in the 12 V battery supply line. I would definitely
install one...
I would guess those BA-4386 magnesium batteries would not last very long in
service...D cells and wet cells were also utilized as options in the issued
configurations.
