Hi Mark
There was either a BC-456 or MD-7 at Fair Radio Sales last summer when I
was there; I’m sorry but I don’t remember any more details but it may be
worth a call to them.
I’m thinking of doing a rebuild of my SCR-274N system to make it easier to
take for historical displays. Mine is on a long 2 tier wooden shelf and I
can no longer carry it.
I’m wondering what you have in mind for making cables. Mine are white
cloth covered cables as Dave AB5X (I believe) told me years ago that’s what
was used towards the end of the war. What are you considering doing?
I’ve given up hope of finding a shock mount for the 3 TX rack, and am
looking into the possibility of having one made. Two options, have one
fabricated and use the shocks from other units, or use existing shock
mounts (such as for a single TX) but splicing in a length of channel to
widen them for the 3 TX rack.
My goal (somewhat nebulous) is to be able to have my SCR-274N on display in
use with a BC-611.
Sorry for the ramble…….
