Tom –

I have such a conversion to change the BC-1000 to 6 meters. It is an adaptation of a similar conversion that can be done for the British Wireless Set 31 Radio, which was their version of the BC-1000. The conversion article was written up in the VMARS Newsletter Issue 7 of October 1999. You can likely find this on the internet and download it.

If you are unable to find it, I can scan my copy and send it to you, however my copy is not of great quality.

I have done this conversion before to several radios in the past. The resemblance of the WS-31 to the BC-1000 schematics and component numbering is evident in the areas where you need to make changes to convert the radio, but they do use some different audio connections as well as a slightly different layout in the WS31 versus the BC-1000.

With best regards,

Jim

Subject: [MRCA] SCR-300/BC-1000 to Six Meters

I have an SCR-300/BC-100 that I'd like to get on Six Meters. Google search so far has not found anything. Looking for information.

Thanks and 73,

Tom W1WSO
