Stay away from polystyrene as it is very brittle. Polypropylene is soft, much
like the polyethylene (LDPE-HDPE) used in milk jugs, and would be a good
choice. You might also consider PVC, such as the end cap for a drain line of
about that diameter, take a look in your local Home Depot or Lowe's in the
plumbing section near the big pipes.
