Well said..... and exactly correct. The requirements were written, as
such, but also offered as guidance. There was never any impetus to
throw everything in the can and start over. To the contrary. Financial
and operational impact were always key points in its implementation.
But, some simply enjoy poking themselves in the eye with a sharp stick.
My point for the past 25 years has been if the equipment solves one's
operational requirements and operates in a wholly benign fashion in the
spectral environment, then gear is OK... period. That opinion is
obviously not shared by all. With regard to your last comment line,
ignorance breeds blind obedience. HI!!
