As I seem to recall, the operational signal levels in the video amps we
used in satellite data distribution was typically 2vPP. That's a
healthy signal level compared to an HF receiver's input. These amps are
used in a shielded environment so spurious signals generally are not
present. I do not know how their small signal handling capability would
be nor their noise figure. At signals less than say -100dBm or -115dBm,
I wonder what they look like? Might work... no harm in trying.
