Hi Eugene,
No, nothing so close as within 1 Hz. With some care you can usually get within 200-300 Hz. With some simple modifications to the frequency meter and special techniques you can get that down to within 30- 40Hz. Joe, WA2EJT, has done some work with those modifications and techniques. Ask him about " Interpolation Modifications" when you see him at the meet. Much of this was discussed in QST articles in the mid 1950's.
