I have the gear for the prc 47    I was curious about the prc 74.    That is my new obsession.


If anyone wants to see the 47 all rigged up and it's two man carry setup I have that as a matter of fact there's only one accessory I don't have for the 47 and that's that damn 50 ohm adapter for the antenna cable whenever they come up it's like their gold.

By the way if anyone is interested I still have three fully working PRC 47 and one of them is modified for upper and lower sideband


Incidentally I was able to locate the proper antenna for the prc74

Think the PRC-47 was a crew operated radio, would take a crew to carry all the junk with it. One man for the radio itself, second for the accessory box and battery and a third for the generator and gas if used. There is a huge watertight box that fits the radio, battery box, antenna and all the other stuff but it’s too big for one man to carry.
