The 2018 East Coast Rally at Aberdeen MD will be Thursday the 10th, Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th at Ripken Stadium outside Baltimore. The same date as Kutztown. MRCA will have a couple spaces at the show, Think they are A11 and 12 that are free to any MRCA members to come out and set up in. terms of use preclude any one using those spaces for selling but showing or operating radios is much permitted. The two spaces are located up on the front row next to the stadium and there is a small grass island next to that location for the installation of antennas.
I will have my M151 there and will be active on the Moose and Squirrel Net on Thursday and maybe Saturday, 5357 USB. Will also be on 51.0 FM and everyone there will tend to use that as a local net. There may be opportunities to also operate on other bands if anyone is interested.
Once again people are encouraged to come out and maybe put their radios to work in the field. Perhaps we can get something going with K3A up in Kutztown?
The Aberdeen Military Vehicle Show and Sale was once the largest event of its kind in the east, but rain over the last couple years has done a lot to cut back attendance. Thursday and Friday are the best days to attend and although primarily a vehicle show lots of radios and assorted other equipment turns up at the sale.

Looks like the spring is finally here and we have several events all happening in the next several weeks, The Fort Milles event this weekend, Aberdeen and Kutztown after that and the week after that is Dayton with the WW2 3885 portable AM net and the 51.0 FM Cold War Net.
Field radios want to be used in the field, on the air netting with other military radios. Not just left up on the shelf and never operated!
